A matricule is a unique identification number, where all pre-available information on the student is mapped to. The following information is mapped to a matricula; Student name, Age, Sex, Region, School and class
Dial *126*007# to pay either tuition fees or exam fees
A school code is a numeric code which consists of 7 digits, generated by MTN and which is linked to each public secondary school name.
A payment ID is number used to identify a transaction
A temporary ID (C.I.N) consists of 9 digits, and is generated by the school on upon pre-registration for GCE only
You can find your payment ID on your receipt or the SMS you receive from MINESEC upon a successful payment

  • Select the payment ID tab.
  • Enter your payment ID and confirm.
  • Your information will pop up with your student matricule highlighted
MINESEC USSD
  • Dial *123#
  • Enter 6 (Search matricule number)
  • Enter your payment ID and confirm.
  • Select your Division.
  • Your information will pop up with your student matricule highlighted
  • Your school details will pop up and an you will equally receive an SMS from “MINESEC” containing your matricule number
Yes, you must be a registered student before you can pay fees
No, you must do pre-registration before you can pay your GCE fees. A student is given a temporary ID only upon successful completion of pre-registration
SMSs are sent only for successful transactions. Wait for about 2 mins for the sms after a payment is completed. If you don’t receive the sms, it means the transaction was not successful. Check your last transactions to confirm
